Matt Blake has taken a pretty interesting road to Wisconsin. He spent years around Nashville and out on tour before eventually landing in Appleton and getting back to writing and playing his own songs. Tae & The Neighborly started the way all good bands do: by repeatedly borrowing sugar from each other. The Wisconsin group first met as neighbors, started making music together, and somehow turned that into a seriously good mix of soul, R&B, pop, and rock.
