3 Sheeps x Les Paul Battle of the Bands

Promotion Overview

The 3 Sheeps x Les Paul Battle of the Bands (the “Promotion”) is produced and administered by 3 Sheeps Brewing Company (“3 Sheeps”).

The Promotion begins accepting submissions on Monday, May 11, 2026, and the entry period closes on Monday, May 25, 2026. Selected bands will be notified on or about June 1, 2026. The Promotion concludes with the final championship event held at the 3 Sheeps Taproom on August 15, 2026.

1. Eligibility

• All participants must be 21 years of age or older at the time of entry.
• Bands must consist of at least two (2) members.
• Bands may not be “signed” or have a contractual management  agreement with a third party at the time of entry and throughout the Promotion.
• Bands must be based in Wisconsin and perform the majority of their shows within the state.
• Bands must be available to perform in person at assigned competition dates and locations, including the final event on August 15, 2026, if selected.

3 Sheeps reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time. Failure to meet eligibility requirements may result in disqualification.

2. Entry Requirements

• Bands may submit up to three (3) original songs.
• Submissions must be:
  • Uploaded via webform as .mp3 or .mp4 files, or Submitted as links (e.g., YouTube, Spotify, or similar platforms).
• Only original music is permitted. Cover songs will not be accepted.
• At least one song must be of or from a live performance.
• Entry forms must be fully completed; incomplete submissions will be disqualified.
• Limit one (1) entry per band

3. Competition Structure

• A total of eighteen (18) bands will be selected to compete across three (3) live preliminary events hosted by 3 Sheeps.
• An additional one (1) band will be selected via a virtual competition.
• One (1) winning band from each preliminary event, plus the virtual winner, will advance to the final championship round.
• The final competition will take place at the 3 Sheeps Taproom on August 15, 2026, where one (1) Grand Champion will be selected. The winners of the 4 preliminary rounds must be available to compete in-person on this date.

4. Judging Criteria

Winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on the following criteria:

• Musicianship 
• Stage presence 
• Originality
• Crowd engagement
• Overall impression
  

All judging decisions are final and binding.

5. Prizes

The Grand Champion will receive:

• Four (4) hours of recording time at the Les Paul Recording Studio based on availability and suggested scheduling by studio.
• A $3,000 stipend intended to assist with travel and lodging expenses
• Access to a live studio engineer during the recording session
• Audio recording of the band’s session as deemed appropriate by the Les Paul Recording Studio. The band retains rights to the band's original recording.

Prize Conditions:

• The prize must be redeemed within twelve (12) months of being awarded. The recording session offer expires on August 31, 207
• Scheduling will be coordinated between the winning band and 3 Sheeps Brewing, and is subject to availability.
• scheduling of studio time is subject to availability. It is recommended that winning band request time as much in advance as possible. Studio schedule is also subject to change once booked. 
• The winning band is responsible for arriving on time; studio time will begin promptly at the scheduled time regardless of arrival delays.

General Prize Terms:

• The prize is non-transferable and may only be used by the winning band.
• The prize may not be substituted or exchanged for cash or other alternatives.
• Failure to redeem the prize within the specified timeframe will result in forfeiture, and the prize will become null and void. 

6. Travel & Liability

• 3 Sheeps Brewing Company is not responsible for travel arrangements, lodging, meals, insurance, or any expenses exceeding the provided stipend. All travel arrangements and accommodations must be made by the winning band representative or member.The winning band assumes all responsibility for travel, accommodations, and participation in the prize experience.
• 3 Sheeps Brewing Company and any of its partners assumes no liability for delays, cancellations, injuries, losses, or damages related to participation in the Promotion or use of the prize.

7. Rights & Usage

By entering the Promotion, all participants agree that:

• All submitted materials (including audio, video, images, and related content) may be used by 3 Sheeps Brewing Company on a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free basis.
• 3 Sheeps may use entrant names, likenesses, band names, and submitted content for marketing, advertising, and promotional purposes, without additional compensation.
• Bands retain ownership of their original music but grant 3 Sheeps the above usage rights.

 8. Content Responsibility

• Entrants are solely responsible for ensuring they have all necessary rights and permissions for submitted content.
• 3 Sheeps Brewing Company assumes no responsibility for music clearance, licensing, or copyright issues related to submitted material.

9. Conduct, Disqualification & Administration

3 Sheeps Brewing Company reserves the right to:

• Disqualify any entrant for:
  • Incomplete or inaccurate submissions
  • Failure to meet eligibility requirements
  • Submission of inappropriate, offensive, or unlawful content
  • Suspected cheating, fraud, or vote manipulation
• Modify, suspend, or cancel the Promotion at any time due to unforeseen circumstances
• Interpret and apply these rules at its sole discretion

All decisions made by 3 Sheeps are final.

10. Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless 3 Sheeps Brewing Company, its affiliates, partners, sponsors (including the Les Paul Foundation), and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

• Participation in the Promotion
• Submission of materials or content
• Acceptance, use, or misuse of the prize

11. Sponsor & Third-Party Acknowledgment

The Les Paul Recording Studio is referenced solely as the location of the prize experience and is not responsible for the administration, execution, or awarding of the Promotion.
